Automatisches Pensionssplitting wird Altersarmut der Frauen kaum reduzieren können

Abstract

Im europäischen Vergleich ist die geschlechtsspezifische Pensionslücke zulasten der Frauen in Österreich besonders hoch. Hoch ist auch die Armutsgefährdungsquote der Frauen im Alter von 65 und mehr Jahren, sie liegt mit 17% deutlich über der Armutsgefährdungsquote der Bevölkerung (14%). Die Bundesregierung plant zur Reduktion der Altersarmut der Frauen ein automatisches Pensionssplitting einzuführen. Noch ist die Ausgestaltung nicht konkretisiert, eine erste Analyse lässt allerdings keinen großen armutsreduzierenden Effekt erwarten.
