Inserción laboral y calidad del empleo de los licenciados de la Universidad Complutense

Abstract

El mercado de trabajo proporciona una información útil para valorar si los estudiantes están recibiendo la formación que la sociedad necesita. Los resultados de diversos informes internacionales revelan que la situación laboral de los universitarios en España no es satisfactoria. Pues bien, el objetivo de este trabajo es proporcionar una información comparativa sobre el proceso de inserción laboral de los egresados de una selección de titulaciones de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Para ello se ha llevado a cabo una encuesta a una muestra de cerca de un millar de licenciados de la UCM que terminaron la carrera en el curso 2001/02, en la que se investiga, entre otras cosas, el perfil de los egresados, las actividades formativas seguidas durante los estudios, la formación de postgrado y, en especial, la situación laboral en el primer empleo significativo después de terminar la carrera y en el momento de realizar la encuesta. Aunque el panorama por titulaciones es hetorogéneo, se observa que seis años después de finalizar los estudios, los indicadores mejoran notablemente en términos de estabilidad, salarios y ajuste educación-empleo.
