Estimación de escalas de equivalencia asociadas a un mínimo nivel de bienestar

Abstract

El objetivo del trabajo consiste en estimar escalas de equivalencia asociadas a un nivel de subsistencia para los tipos de hogares más representativos de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Para ello, se estima un sistema completo de demanda cuadrático (QES) empleando los datos de la Encuesta Nacional de Gastos de los Hogares correspondiente al período 2004/2005. Adicionalmente, se comparan las escalas obtenidas empíricamente a partir del comportamiento observado de los hogares con aquellas institucionalmente empleadas en Argentina. Se discute acerca la existencia de economías de escala en el consumo y su variación en función del tipo de gastos que se considere.
