Abstract

"Der vorliegende Bericht fasst die zentralen Befunde einer Untersuchung zusammen, die sich mit dem Erwerbseinstieg der Absolventen der Fachhochschule Kiel (FH Kiel) für die Abschlussjahrgänge 2005 - 2014 und dem Verbleib von Studierenden beschäftigt, die die FH Kiel in diesem Zeitraum aus unterschiedlichen Gründen ohne erfolgreich abgeschlossene Prüfung verlassen haben. Insgesamt zeigt sich, dass die Absolventen der FH Kiel zumeist sehr erfolgreich den Arbeitsmarkteintritt meistern. Sie finden nach einer recht kurzen Suchdauer eine in der Regel ihrem Qualifikationsniveau angemessene, reguläre Beschäftigung. Auch viele Studierende, die ohne formalen Abschluss die FH Kiel verlassen, finden nach der Exmatrikulation vergleichsweise schnell eine Beschäftigung. Längere Arbeitslosigkeitsperioden sind nur für wenige Studienabbrecher zu beobachten. Allerdings zeigt ein Vergleich mit den Absolventen, dass die Studierenden mit einem erfolgreich abgeschlossenen Studium bei verschiedenen Arbeitsmarktindikatoren deutlich besser abschneiden als die Studienabbrecher. Persönliche Merkmale, das Studienfach bzw. der Fachbereich, die Abschlussart und der Studienerfolg (gemessen an der Abschlussnote) nehmen Einfluss auf den Arbeitsmarkteintritt und insbesondere die Art der Erstbeschäftigung. Nicht unerhebliche Unterschiede zeigen sich insbesondere zwischen Männern und Frauen sowie zwischen Bildungsinländern und - ausländern. Gewisse Unterschiede sind auch für die verschiedenen Abschlussarten zu beobachten. Die Diplom- und Masterabsolventen schneiden über verschiedene Indikatoren hinweg im Durchschnitt etwas besser ab als die Bachelorabsolventen. Dennoch starten auch die jungen Arbeitskräfte mit einem Bachelorabschluss meist recht erfolgreich in den Arbeitsmarkt. Angesichts der Befunde können die teilweise geäußerten grundsätzlichen Bedenken bezüglich der Arbeitsmarktrelevanz des Bachelorabschlusses für die Absolventen der FH Kiel nicht bestätigt werden."
