Abstract

"This article examines the effects of the German government's climate package (as of 20.09.2019 plus the change from the Federal-Länder compromise of 16.12.2019) on the German economy and labour market. With the help of the scenario technique, a number of assumptions relating to measures from the climate package were made and integrated into the QINFORGE analysis tool. The results show that compared to the baseline scenario, the impact of the 2030 climate protection programme on the economy and labour market will only be minor on balance, but causes a higher turnover of jobs."
