Temporalités d’action et pratiques d'anticipation stratégique en contexte extrême : le cas de l’émergence d’une crise en course au large

Abstract

L'organisation évoluant en contexte extrême est habituée à traiter des changements de temporalités sous forte pression. La recherche qualitative exploratoire empirique orientée par la pratique vise à identifier et circonscrire les phénomènes organisationnels se produisant pendant ces changements de temporalités. L'accès à des pratiques d'anticipation stratégique au moment où elles se produisent est rendu possible par une observation ethnographique en immersion au sein d'une organisation de course au large à la voile en compétition. Le cas conduit à enchevêtrer l'activité d'anticipation stratégique avec l'activité de recherche. En croisant le point de vue de l'action et celui de l'organisation, l'approche permet d'établir des relations entre la temporalité de l'action, rythmée par la succession d'événements et les temporalités organisationnelles, rythmées par l'émergence d'une crise. Interpréter les phénomènes organisationnels et les événements en cours d'action ressort, à travers une pratique transformatrice, comme une condition stratégique pour gérer les changements sous forte pression.
