Abstract

Cet article vise à comprendre comment un décideur expert se comporte dans une si-tuation d'urgence. Pour ce faire, il s'inscrit dans l'approche naturaliste de la décision. Notre recherche a pour terrain les acteurs de la chaîne des secours confrontés à des si-tuations médicales d'urgence. Face à une situation d'urgence, un décideur peut soit se fonder sur son expérience (information interne), soit se fonder sur des informations externes (le comportement d'autres décideurs). Nos résultats révèlent un taux très élevé d'initiateurs de décision, c'est-à-dire de décideurs se fondant sur leur expé-rience. Nous avons aussi mis en lumière l'apparition de décisions inédites face à des situations uniques. Nous expliquons ces décisions par la capacité d'un expert à tisser des liens entre plusieurs expériences passées pour proposer une solution hybride adap-tée à une situation différente de celles qu'il a déjà rencontrées.
