L'Ethique En Entreprise : Un Modele D'Interaction Des Valeurs

Abstract

Nous proposons un cadre théorique d'analyse de l'éthique du salarié au sein de l'entreprise. Sur la base d'une revue de littérature en philosophie, nous définissons l'éthique non comme un état (être éthique), mais comme un processus de décision individuelle menant à une action au regard des valeurs personnelles. Cette définition, cohérente avec le caractère intégrateur des valeurs (Flament et al 2003) et les récents travaux sur la décision éthique (Sonenshein 2007), met l'individu au centre d'un contexte organisationnel. L'individu est soumis à des incitations à se comporter comme l'attend la direction de l'entreprise, et confronte sa propre éthique aux attentes de celle-ci. Mais le salarié peut ne pas comprendre le sens voulu par l'entreprise, voire donner du sens, y compris éthique, à des éléments qui n'étaient pas souhaités par la direction (Goffman 1974). Ces éléments théoriques montrent alors que le contexte de décision ne se limite pas aux demandes explicites de la direction en termes de comportement, mais également aux instruments de gestion qui sont potentiellement porteurs de sens. Un modèle reliant l'individu (éthique), la direction (déontologie) et l'organisation (contexte éthique) est présenté, ainsi que leurs interrelations fondées sur les cognitions sociales (Dioise 1993), la théorie sur sensmaking (Weick 1995) et la sociologie des valeurs (Donnadieu 1999).
