Exclusión racial en las urbes de la Costa Caribe colombiana

Abstract

El objetivo de este estudio es conocer cómo operan los mecanismos de exclusión através de características raciales en las 13 principales ciudades de Colombia y, comocaso de estudio, las ciudades de Barranquilla y Cartagena. Para ello se cuantificanlas diversas inequidades y se analiza el proceso intergeneracional de apropiación delcapital humano a través de un análisis cuantitativo de movilidad social.Así mismo, se intenta comprobar, estadísticamente, la hipótesis de discriminaciónlaboral estudiando la dinámica del mercado de trabajo y se calculan los retornos de lainversión en capital humano (educación) comparativamente. A partir de cada uno deestos análisis se examinan las dinámicas internas de reproducción de la exclusión.
