Determinanten der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit von Milchviehbetrieben außerhalb von Erzeugungszentren

Abstract

Der Fokus der Forschung zu den Wettbewerbsbedingungen von Milchviehbetrieben ist vielfach auf die Erzeugungszentren gerichtet. Daneben gibt es jedoch auch nach wie vor landwirtschaftliche Gemischtregionen, die durch eine konstante Produktionsvielfalt ohne eindeutige Schwerpunktbildung gekennzeichnet sind. Durch die Konkurrenz mit anderen Produktionszweigen und aufgrund weiterer abweichender Rahmenbedingungen unterscheidet sich die Wettbewerbssituation der Milchproduktion in diesen Gebieten von der in den Intensivregionen. Der vorliegende Beitrag greift diese Problematik auf, indem die Determinanten der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit von Milchviehbetrieben außerhalb von Erzeugungszentren mit Hilfe einer empirischen Erhebung näher beleuchtet werden. Anhand einer Faktorenanalyse konnten sowohl allgemeingültige als auch regionsspezifische Faktoren der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit identifiziert werden. In einer anschließenden Regressionsanalyse ließ sich ein signifikanter Einfluss vornehmlich der allgemeingültigen Faktoren, namentlich der Verfügbarkeit von Produktionsfaktoren, der Spezialisierungsneigung und der Präferenz für die Milchviehhaltung, nachweisen
