Zukünftige Entwicklung der Milchproduktion in Niedersachsen

Abstract

Deutschland ist der größte Milchproduzent in der EU, wobei ein Schwerpunkt der deutschen Milchproduktion in Niedersachsen liegt. Vor dem Hintergrund des Quotenausstiegs ist es für alle Teilnehmer der Wertschöpfungskette Milch von großem Interesse, wie sich die Milchproduktion in Niedersachsen nach 2015 weiterentwickeln wird. Bereits vor 2015 wird der Quotenhandel vereinfacht und erlaubt so eine Ausdehnung der Milchproduktion in Niedersachsen. Eine reine Fortschreibung agrarstatistischer Trends aus der Vergangenheit in die Zukunft ist aufgrund der sich ändernden Rahmenbedingungen deshalb nicht ohne Weiteres möglich. Daher wurde eine Befragung von 655 niedersächsischen Milcherzeugern zur künftigen Entwicklung der Milchproduktion durchgeführt. Um Struktur-ungleichgewichte in der Stichprobe zu reduzieren, wurde die Stichprobe zunächst poststratifiziert und anschließend wurden für die Betriebe individuelle Gewichte mittels eines Kalibrierungsmodells berechnet. Die Ergebnisse lassen erwarten, dass die Milchproduktion in Niedersachsen weiter ansteigen wird, insbesondere in den nördlichen Küstenregionen. Gleichzeitig scheinen auch die niedersächsischen Gemischtregionen an Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu gewinnen. Für die künftige Entwicklung der Milchproduktion in den niedersächsischen Ackerbauregionen bleiben die Ergebnisse hingegen uneindeutig.
