Contrats de travail et performance des systèmes agroforestiers à base de cacao dans la zone du Mbam et Kim (Centre-Cameroun)

Abstract

Cette étude apprécie l’influence des contrats de travail sur la performance des exploitations agricoles à base de cacao. Elle a été réalisée dans le Département du Mbam et Kim dans la région du centre Cameroun sur un échantillon de 114 exploitations. L’objectif a été de trouver des éléments de réponse aux interrogations relatives à l’influence des types de contrats de travail sur la performance des systèmes agro forestiers à base de cacao. Pour y parvenir, nous avons eu recours d’une part à la méthode DEA pour mesurer les performances des SAF cacao selon les types de contrats de travail appliqués, et d’autre part au modèle Tobit censuré, afin de déterminer les facteurs explicatifs des dites performances. A l’issue donc des travaux, les résultats révèlent que les exploitants pratiquant des contrats de rémunération par pourcentage de cacao vendu sont relativement plus efficaces que ceux ayant recours aux contrats à rémunération fixes avec des scores d’efficacité respectivement de 0,88, et 0,67. Par ailleurs, Parmi les facteurs contribuant à l’explication des performances des SAF cacao, il ressort que 22,3% des exploitants établissant des contrats fixes avec leurs ouvriers sont source d’inefficacité dans la localité. Tandis que les facteurs âges et superficie expliquent la performance des SAF cacao respectivement à 97% et 95%. Ces différents résultats ont permis de faire des propositions qui font l’objet de recommandations de politique agricole relative à l’amélioration du cadre managérial des exploitations agricoles au Cameroun.
