Abstract

Die Untersuchung der Produktivitäts- und Wachstumswirkungen der Forschungs- und Entwicklungsaktivitäten in Österreich und den OECD-Ländern basiert auf makroökonomischen Daten der letzten 30 Jahre. Demnach tragen Forschungsausgaben im Inland in fast allen Industrieländern zu einer Steigerung der totalen Faktorproduktivität und des Bruttosozialproduktes pro Kopf bei. Der Produktivitätseffekt der gesamten Forschungs- und Entwicklungskapazitäten ist in Österreich tendenziell höher als im Durchschnitt der OECD-Länder. Der Einfluss des inländischen F&E-Kapitalstocks auf Produktivität und BIP pro Kopf hat im Zeitablauf zugenommen.
