Ausrichtung der Tourismusstrategie 2015. Weichenstellung im österreichischen Tourismus zur Steigerung von Wachstum und Beschäftigung

Abstract

Bis zum Jahr 2015 werden die realen Einnahmen Österreichs aus dem internationalen Tourismus um 2,3% pro Jahr zunehmen. Gemäß einer hypothetischen Berechnung könnte die Wachstumsrate um etwa 1 Prozentpunkt pro Jahr gesteigert werden, würde der Nächtigungsanteil der "BRIC"-Länder (Brasilien, Russland, Indien, China) 5% statt derzeit 1% betragen und sich jener der zehn im Jahr 2004 der EU beigetretenen Länder von 5% auf 10% verdoppeln. Eine innovative Angebotspolitik, verstärkte Internationalisierung, die Bildung von Destinationen, eine Qualitätsoffensive auf jeder Stufe der Dienstleistungskette sowie eine koordinierte Vorgangsweise in der Tourismuspolitik von Bund und Ländern sind wichtige Maßnahmen, um die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit des österreichischen Tourismus zu erhöhen.
