Les effets du capital humain sur l’intégration commerciale en Afrique subsaharienne

Abstract

L’objectif de cet article est d’évaluer les effets du capital humain (en considérant les dé-penses en matière d’éducation et de santé) sur le commerce intra-Afrique subsaharienne (ASS). Pour cela, nous avons utilisé un modèle de gravité augmenté des variables liées au capital humain, en retenant comme méthode d’évaluation l’estimateur de Poisson à effets aléatoires. Nous aboutissons à trois grands résultats. (1) le capital humain a un effet posi-tif sur ces échanges. (2) la part des dépenses d’éducation dans les cycles primaire et se-condaire a plus d’effet sur les échanges que les dépenses dans le cycle supérieur. De même, les dépenses dans le domaine de la formation professionnelle contribuent plus à développer les échanges que les dépenses dans la formation académique. (3) une forte proportion de la main d’œuvre dans le secteur primaire défavorise les échanges intra-ASS.
