Abstract

Zusammenfassung Vielfach wird in der öffentlichen Diskussion ein zumindest annähernd existenzsichernder Mindestlohn von 12 Euro gefordert. 2017 haben etwa 11 Mio. Beschäftigte zu einem Stundenlohn von weniger als 12 Euro gearbeitet. Das betrifft insbesondere geringfügig Beschäftigte, aber auch Teilzeitkräfte. Dieser Beitrag analysiert das Verhältnis von Mindestlohn und Tarifvertragssystem sowie die Auswirkungen einer stärkeren Mindestlohnanpassung.
