Abstract

Zusammenfassung Durch die fortschreitende Digitalisierung des Fernsehens sehen sich etablierte Fernsehsender des analogen Zeitalters zunehmend mit intensiviertem Wettbewerb und einer sich ändernden und fragmentierenden Nachfrage konfrontiert. Ihre Rolle als Intermediäre zwischen Produzenten von Inhalten und Zuschauern verliert an Relevanz, weshalb der vorliegende Artikel den Einfluss der Digitalisierung auf den Stellenwert von Senderechten als Kernressource für etablierte Fernsehsender analysiert. Die Resultate belegen, dass Senderechte auch im digitalen Zeitalter einen Wettbewerbsvorteil generieren, dessen Nachhaltigkeit aufgrund von Duplikationsmöglichkeiten jedoch nur beschränkt vorhanden ist.
