Abstract

[eng] Faviness theories : the grounds of a cognitive approach of efficiency wages. . This paper focus on the micro-foundations of the last G. Akerlof et J. Yellen's efficiency wage model [1990]. A first part devotes an overview of the cognitives theories of equity which are quoted by G. Akerlof and J. Yellen. A second part presents the empirical grounds of the fair wage. We rule out the diversity of the conclusions of the experimentais studies which concern fairness. A final part studies the methods which are used by G. Akerlof and J. Yellen in order to take equity theories and empirical studies in account. The weakness of the model concerns mainly the formalization of the effort function which is a strategie device of the model.
