Csökkenthető-e a diszkrimináció a megosztáson alapuló gazdaságban? Egy magyarországi telekocsioldalon végzett kísérleti kutatás eredményei
[Can discrimination be decreased in the new platform economy? The results of an experimental study on a Hungarian car-sharing platform]

Abstract

Milyen mértékben diszkriminálják a megosztásra épülő platformok az etnikai kisebbégeket - jelen esetben a magyarországi romákat -, és milyen eszközeink vannak a hátrányos megkülönböztetés elleni küzdelemben a platformalapú piacokon? Írásunkban, ellentmondva a korábbi kutatási eredményeknek, azt mutatjuk meg, hogy - legalábbis egy általunk vizsgált magyarországi telekocsiplatform esetében - az ízlésalapú diszkrimináció jellemző. A platformon végzett nagymintás, randomizált terepkísérlet eredménye rámutatott, hogy a roma felhasználókat jelentős mértékben diszkriminálják a platform sofőrjei az utazással kapcsolatos informálódás során. A komplex kutatási projekt részeként - a telekocsiplatformmal együttműködésben - kidolgoztunk egy intervenciós eszközt, amelynek célja a romaellenes előítéletek csökkentése volt. A hátrányos megkülönböztetést egy - potenciális telekocsisofőrök körében végzett - kérdőíves kísérlet keretében olyan helyzetgyakorlattal mértük, ahol különböző etnikumú utasok közül kellett a kérdőív kitöltőinek kiválasztaniuk, hogy kivel utaznának szívesen együtt. A kísérlet igazolta, hogy a kísérleti csoportban az intervenció hatására jelentősen csökkent a fiktív roma utasokkal szembeni diszkrimináció mértéke. Az intervenció terepen történő tesztelése sikertelen volt. Összességében a kutatás következtetései a piaci szereplőkkel közösen végzett diszkrimináció elleni küzdelemben rejlő lehetőségekre és kihívásokra egyaránt felhívják a figyelmet.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: J15.
