Development of the Crowdfunding Market in Poland

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of the article is to provide a detailed classification of crowdfunding types as a source of financing and to analyze its development in Poland. Approach/Methodology/Design: The research method used in this area is a review of national and world scientific literature and a quantitative analysis of the financial resources obtained in this way in Poland. Findings: Barriers to the development of crowdfunding will indicate what legal framework and principles of business operation support this form of financing. Practical Implications: A detailed classification of types of crowdfunding will allow for the optimal selection of the source of financing in relation to the specific demand. Originality/Value: The original value of the article is the classification of factors responsible for the development of crowdfunding and a quantitative analysis of its occurrence in Poland.
