The nexus between adoption and diffusion of production technologies with yield: Evidence from sweet potato farmers in India

Abstract

•46% sweet potato farmers in India did not adopt the production technologies.•Adoption quotient of farmers and yield strongly correlated.•78% of sweet potato area in the country cultivated with high yielding varieties.•Farm and farmer characteristics influenced production technology adoption.
