Abstract

This article aims to determine if a diversified positioning generates a competitive advantage (in terms of the turnover of the assets) within the French banking sector because of the operational synergies linking potentially the banking activities. Interviews have been led in order to define the place of these operational synergies through the diversification strategies. The empirical results show that only specialization creates value.
