Les comités stratégiques et l’innovation dans les entreprises françaises

Abstract

(VF)L’objectif de cet article est d’étudier le rôle joué par les comités stratégiques en retenant comme cadre théorique l’approche cognitive de la gouvernance. L’impact de la composition des comités stratégiques sur la priorité donnée à l’innovation par les entreprises est appréhendé en supposant que l’importance accordée à la connaissance devrait être jugée comme prioritaire dans les entreprises mettant l’accent sur la R&D. Les caractéristiques de 75 administrateurs membres des comités stratégiques des entreprises à forte innovation sont comparées à celles de 69 administrateurs membres des comités stratégiques des entreprises à faible innovation, toutes étant des sociétés françaises cotées sur le marché parisien.(VA)This study examines the role played by strategy committees from a cognitive perspective on corporate governance. We study the impact of committee composition on investment in innovation as measured by R&D intensity. We compare director characteristics of a sample of firms with high R&D intensity with those of a sample of firms having low R&D intensity.
