Renouveler l’approche de la profession en contrôle organisationnel

Abstract

(VF) Avec l’accroissement du nombre de professionnels au sein des organisations, il apparaît essentiel d’interroger les fondements de l’approche de la profession qui a cours en contrôle organisationnel. Nous montrons, dans cet article, les insuffisances qui sont les siennes, tant du point de vue de la description que de celui du contrôle. Pour assurer une meilleure adaptation aux évolutions organisationnelles actuelles, nous proposons une approche pragmatique de la question de la profession fondée sur le cadre d’analyse d’A. Abbott, permettant de saisir la logique de réponse collective à un problème. Enfin, nous mettons en évidence les points saillants d’une telle approche, pour envisager son application et son appropriation par les praticiens. (VA) The number of professionals is increasing within organizations. This trend questions the traditional organizational control approach of professions. In the present paper, we examine its relevance to the description of reality and the model of control it implies. To address recent organizational evolutions, we suggest a pragmatic approach of professions, grounded on Abbott’s framework. Finally, we characterize the major aspects of such an approach to reveal the possibility of its application and appropriation by managers.
