Los efectos de la reforma laboral de 2002 en el mercado laboral colombiano

Abstract

Resumen: Este artículo intenta identificar los efectos de la reforma laboral que entró en vigencia en Colombia en 2003 sobre distintos aspectos del mercado laboral: el desempleo, el empleo, el nivel de formalidad, las horas trabajadas y las remuneraciones. La identificación de estos impactos se realiza a través de la estimación de diferencias en diferencias, y se intenta analizar los efectos para distintos grupos de población, distinguiendo según nivel educativo. Según las estimaciones realizadas, la reforma laboral tuvo efectos positivos sobre la probabilidad de empleo y el nivel de remuneraciones promedio, mientras que estaría desincentivando el trabajo bajo condicio-nes de informalidad laboral. A su vez, las horas promedio de trabajo por ocupado habrían disminuido como consecuencia de los cambios introducidos en la normativa laboral. Sin embargo, estos efectos no son homogéneos entre trabajadores con distinto nivel de capital humano.
