Coyuntura y política económica colombiana 2005-2006: análisis y perspectivas

Abstract

Resumen: Este artículo presenta un análisis de la coyuntura y la política económica colombiana de corto plazo para el período 2005-2006. Se destacan como hechos importantes en 2005, el crecimiento económico inesperado durante la segunda parte del ano que terminó por reducir la brecha del producto, el logro por segundo ano consecutivo de la meta de inflación (4,85%) y el repunte del empleo. Sin embargo, a pesar de los buenos resultados macroeconómicos y del manejo prudente que se viene realizando de la política económica, se vislumbran en 2006 riesgos y preocupaciones que podrían limitar las bondades de la políticamonetaria, sobre todo, por el creciente déficit fiscal del Gobierno Nacional Central y por el debate asociado con el futuro cambiario en el país, ante la persistente revaluación del peso. Así mismo, surgen dudas sobre las ganancias potenciales del crecimiento económico, en vista de que éstas, todavía no se socializan.
