Determinantes del grado de apertura de las pymes agroindustriales: una aplicación para el departamento del Atlántico

Abstract

Este artículo busca establecer los determinantes del grado de apertura de las pymes agroindustriales del departamento del Atlántico, con el fin de identificar los factores clave para la formulación de políticas que fortalezcan la estrategia de innovación abierta en el sector. La aplicación de dos modelos Tobit muestra que la capacidad de adquisición, la cercanía geográfica a clientes y proveedores, la firma de contratos, el tamano y las barreras para innovar son las variables significativas para explicar la amplitud y profundidad en el uso de fuentes externas para innovar. Los resultados sugieren la necesidad de conformar entornos que promuevan la gestación de redes interorganizacionales de cooperación para la innovación, a fin de consolidar espacios geográficos basados en la economía del conocimiento, que permitan integrar a los distintos agentes del sistema de innovación.
