Zur Produktionsbehinderung der Unternehmen im Konjunkturzyklus: Eine Compositional-Data-Analyse

Abstract

Einmal pro Quartal befragt das ifo Institut im Rahmen seiner laufenden Konjunkturumfragen die Unternehmen im Verarbeitenden Gewerbe, ob eine Produktionsbehinderung besteht und wenn ja, ob sich die Firmen eher vorgegebenen Angebots- oder Nachfragebeschränkungen gegenübersehen. Mit Blick auf die Entwicklung im jüngsten Aufschwung zeigen Klaus Abberger, ETH Zürich, und Wolfgang Nierhaus, ifo Institut, dass die Angebotsbehinderungen im Verarbeitenden Gewerbe eine sehr starke Rolle spielen, obwohl nach vorläufigen Schätzungen die Produktionslücke historisch gesehen nicht außergewöhnlich groß ist.
