Zur Messung von Forschungsleistungen in der Effizienzanalyse: Drittmittel versus Publikationen

Abstract

In der Literatur zur Effizienz von Hochschulen werden entweder die eingeworbenen Drittmittel oder die Anzahl der Publikationen als Indikator für institutionelle Forschungsleistungen verwendet. Die vorliegende Studie untersucht, ob beide Indikatoren zu einer ähnlichen oder unterschiedlichen Einschätzung der Effizienz von Universitäten führen. Die Ergebnisse weisen darauf hin, dass die auf Drittmitteln und Publikationsmaßen basierenden Effizienzwerte hoch korrelieren, so dass die Forschungsindikatoren bei der Bewertung von Universitäten als gleichwertig angesehen werden können.
