Humankapital und Innovationstätigkeit von Unternehmen: erste deskriptive Befunde neuer Fragen im ifo Innovationstest

Abstract

In den letzten beiden Wellen des ifo Innovationstests wurden erstmals Fragenkomplexe zu Ausbildungsstruktur und Kompetenzen der Mitarbeiter der Unternehmen aufgenommen. Erste Auswertungen belegen signifikante Zusammenhänge zwischen dem Humankapital der Unternehmen und ihren Innovationsaktivitäten. Erfolgreich innovierende Unternehmen weisen einen höheren Anteil an Beschäftigten mit naturwissenschaftlich-technischen Hochschulabschlüssen und an Promovierten auf als nicht innovierende Unternehmen. Dabei erweisen sich technische Fähigkeiten und Kreativität in der Selbsteinschätzung der Unternehmen als die für die Innovationsaktivitäten mit Abstand bedeutendsten Kompetenzen.
