Zur gesamtwirtschaftlichen Preisentwicklung

Abstract

Der Preisindex des Bruttoinlandsprodukts (BIP-Deflator) ist einer der wichtigsten Inflationsindikatoren im Rahmen der Volkswirtschaftlichen Gesamtrechnungen (VGR). Der Beitrag zeigt, wie der BIP-Deflator nach der Umstellung der deutschen VGR auf Vorjahrespreisbasis berechnet wird und wie die aktuellen Ergebnisse zu interpretieren sind. In Deutschland hat sich die im Inland erbrachte wirtschaftliche Leistung im Jahr 2005 lediglich um 0,4% verteuert; niedrigere Werte sind zuletzt für die Jahre 1999 und 2000 registriert worden (im Jahr 2000 war der BIP-Deflator aufgrund abnehmender Stückgewinne sogar gesunken). Maßgeblich für die außerordentlich moderate Preisentwicklung war, dass - je Einheit reales BIP gerechnet - die Arbeitsentgelte der im Inland Beschäftigten rückläufig gewesen sind und dass die Betriebsüberschüsse ölpreisbedingt nicht mehr so kräftig wie im Jahr 2004 zugenommen haben. Bei Fortbestand dieser Tendenzen dürfte der BIP-Deflator im laufenden Jahr abermals nur sehr schwach steigen.
