Atypische Beschäftigung in Europa 1996-2009

Abstract

Um die Wirkung atypischer Beschäftigungsverhältnisse auf Struktur und Ausmaß sozialer Ungleichheit abschätzen zu können, zeichnet das vorliegende Discussion Paper für 20 europäische Länder nach, wie sich atypische Beschäftigung im Vergleich zu regulären Beschäftigungsverhältnissen sowie Arbeitslosigkeit und Inaktivität entwickelt hat. Der Beobachtungszeitraum erstreckt sich von 1996 bis einschließlich 2009. Mit befristeten Beschäftigungsverhältnissen, Soloselbstständigkeit sowie substanzieller und marginaler Teilzeitarbeit werden vier Arten atypischer Beschäftigung unterschieden. Weil Arbeitsmarktrisiken ungleich zwischen verschiedenen Gruppen verteilt sind, betrachten wir die Beschäftigungsentwicklung getrennt nach Geschlecht, Alter und Bildung.
