Kooperationen in der deutschen Automobilindustrie: Ergebnisse einer empirischen Analyse

Abstract

Die Automobilindustrie zählt zu den besonders kooperationsintensiven Branchen. Dies ist nicht überraschend, haben sich doch die Rahmenbedingungen in den vergangenen Jahren für die Unternehmen stark verändert. Ein starker Wandel der externen Faktoren zeigt sich für Unternehmen auf fast allen Stufen der Wertschöpfungskette. Eine Prüfung strategischer und - daraus abgeleitet - organisatorischer Veränderungen liegt daher nahe. Kersten Lange führt vor diesem Hintergrund eine umfangreiche Befragung kooperierender Unternehmen dieser Branche durch, um ein valides empirisches Fundament für eine tiefgehende Analyse des Kooperationsgeschehens zu schaffen. In diesem IfG-Arbeitspapier werden erste Ergebnisse vor- und zur Diskussion gestellt. Sie werden mit erwarteten Ergebnissen zu den Kooperationsmustern verglichen, die aus theoretischen Studien und älteren empirischen Untersuchungen stammen. Insgesamt kann die große Bedeutung von Kooperationsmodellen für die einzelnen Unternehmen der Automobilindustrie sowie für die gesamte Branche aufgezeigt werden. Dazu kommt eine große Vielfalt hinsichtlich der konkreten Institutionalisierung der Kooperationen, der Anzahl der Partner, der Kooperationsrichtung sowie der Organisation des Kooperationsmanagements. Das Kooperationsgeschehen in der Automobilindustrie wird daneben anhand zahlreicher weiterer Indikatoren beleuchtet. Viele interessante Ergebnisse können präsentiert werden, manche konnten so erwartet werden, andere weniger. Diese empirische Grundlage wird nun um weitere Auswertungen ergänzt und einer vertieften Analyse unterzogen. Deren Fokus besteht darin, die stabilisierenden Faktoren von Kooperationen herauszuarbeiten, die eine wesentliche Informationsgrundlage für ein umfassendes Kooperationsmanagement darstellen. Dieses Arbeitspapier entstammt dem IfG-Forschungscluster II: Unternehmenskooperationen.
