Theoretiker in einer Höhle ohne Schattenspiel: Ein Fortschritt ist möglich!

Abstract

Zwei Theoretiker deduzieren widersprüchliche theoretische Aussagen und erzeugen einen Konflikt. Beide werden nun in einer Höhle eingesperrt (Empirieaussperrung). Kann durch die theoretische Diskussion der beiden die Wissenschaft fortschreiten? Die Theoretiker können verfolgen, woher der Konflikt stammt. Wenn ihnen die Formulierung einer abstrakten Theorie gelingt, unter der sich ihre Theorien als Spezialfälle (Konkretisierungen) subsumieren lassen, dann geht der Konflikt in eine reine Glaubensfrage über und ihre Wissenschaft schreitet dadurch fort. Das Tun der Theoretiker wird an einem Beispiel aus der Handlungsökonomie illustriert. Damit die entstehende abstrakte Theorie auch als Fortschritt gewertet werden kann, wird eine wissenschaftstheoretische Fundierung in Form des Abstraktionsstufenmodells erarbeitet. Dadurch entsteht eine Möglichkeit zur Feststellung des wissenschaftlichen Fortschrittes, die den bisherigen Wissenschaftstheorien fehlt. Das Abstraktionsstufenverfahren selbst ist kein ex-ante Lösungsalgorithmus für den wissenschaftlichen Fortschritt, sondern nur als ex-post Beurteilungsverfahren geeignet. Dennoch ist diese Art der Konfliktlösung eine potentielle Antriebsfeder für den Forscher und kann seine Kreativität leiten. Durch die Ableitbarkeit aus einer (wenigen) Ultra-Abstraktion(en) wird die bestehende Theorienvielfalt strukturiert und geordnet und existierende Theorien präzise unterschieden.
