Betrachtungen zu aktuellen Agrar- und Regionalstrukturproblemen in einem österreichischen Hochgebirgstal (Mölltal): Gedanken eines Agrarökonomen zu Naturschutz, Milchvieh und Landschaft

Abstract

Dieser Beitrag befasst sich mit Beobachtungen des Verfassers zu Vorgängen bzgl. bäuerlicher Lebenswelt und Existenz zu Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts aus dem Oberen Mölltal. Es handelt sich um langfristige Beobachtungen und Gedanken zu potentiellen Entwicklungen im Tal bzgl. Agrarstruktur und Landschaftsentwicklung. Diese beziehen sich sowohl auf die Ausgestaltung der landwirtschaftlichen Nutzung, Struktur und wirtschaftlichen Chancen (sowie Optionen) als auch des Naturschutzes und des Tourismus (als weitere Lebensgrundlage). Die Beobachtungen werden mit Informationen und Analysen aus der Literatur verglichen und aufgearbeitet. Ziel der Aufarbeitung ist es, eine Momentaufnahme bzgl. der Situation der Bäuerinnen und Bauern und des Naturschutzes zu bekommen. Es gilt zu zeigen, dass sich das Tal an einem Schwellenpunkt (tipping point) befindet und aktuell wichtige Weichen zu stellen wären. Abschießend werden potentielle Szenarien angesprochen.
