The Dutch Disease: Erscheinungsbilder und Therapievorschläge für eine verbreitete ökonomische Krankheit

Abstract

Im Zusammenhang mit den Erdgasfunden in den Niederlanden und dem im Anschluß daran beobachteten Entindustrialisierungstrend wurde der Begriff der holländischen Krankheit geprägt. Auch die die Kontraktion des Fertigwarensektors begleitende reale Aufwertung, die tendenziell Exportgüter und Importsubstitute benachteiligt, wird zum Krankheitsbild gerechnet. Wenn ein Land per Rohstoffboom eine Rente in Form eines Transfers aus dem Ausland erhält - wäre da nicht der Begriff von den economics of a lucky country eher als der einer Krankheit angebracht?
