Wirtschaftsstrukturen und Produktivität im internationalen Vergleich

Abstract

Deutschland hat sein Produktionsportfolio zugunsten forschungsintensiver Güter und wissensintensiver Leistungen weiter verbessert. Wichtigste Stütze dieser Wirtschaftsstruktur sind Branchen aus dem Bereich hochwertiger Technologien. Bei Spitzentechnologien und wissensintensiven Dienstleistungen erreicht Deutschland einen durchschnittlichen Anteil. Weniger ausgeprägt ist dabei die IKTProduktion bzw. der Finanzsektor. Stärken liegen in diesen Bereichen hingegen im Luft- und Raumfahrzeugbau und den unternehmensorientierten Dienstleistungen. Mit diesem Produktionsportfolio war Deutschland auf den internationalen Märkten sehr erfolgreich. Die hohe Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Unternehmen und die gute Weltkonjunktur trieben in den letzten Jahren auch das gesamtwirtschaftliche Wachstum in Deutschland an. Mit Beginn der Finanzkrise im letzten Herbst hat sich die Weltkonjunktur dramatisch abgekühlt. Über alle Branchen hinweg ist die Investitionsnachfrage rückläufig. Die bis dato wichtigsten Wachstumsbranchen aus dem Bereich der hochwertigen Technologien rechnen nun für 2009 mit besonders starken Produktionsrückgängen. Dennoch ist Deutschland mittel- und langfristig mit seinem Spezialisierungsmuster im internationalen Vergleich gut aufgestellt. Für diese Einschätzung sprechen mehrere der hier vorgelegten Analyseergebnisse.
