Abstract

Questo contributo offre una narrazione dei temi dell'occupazione, disoccupazione e crescita in Italia nel periodo 1997-2015, partendo dal momento in cui l'Italia firma il Trattato di Amsterdam del 1997 e aderisce pienamente all'UEM e alla moneta unica attraverso l'accettazione del Patto di Stabilità e Crescita, attraversa la crisi economico-finanziaria del 2008 e affronta le politiche di austerità imposte dal Fiscal Compact entrato in vigore il 1° gennaio 2013 a cui segue nel biennio 2014-2015 la riforma del mercato del lavoro voluta dal governo Renzi, nota come Jobs Act.
