[Network externalities and demand estimation]

Abstract

The aim of this article is to theoretically build a demand curve characterized by network externalities and study whether empirical evidence supports the theoretical form of it. Secondly, several possible equilibriums are analyzed assuming different behaviors of companies in the presence of these externalities.
