Organizing in South Africa's informal economy : an overview of four sectoral case studies

Abstract

Presents an overview of the informal economy and analyses strategies adopted by workers organizations to expand representation amongst informal sector workers. Based on a study of clothing, construction, street trading and taxi sectors conducted in 2001.
