Abstract

"Die Studie analysiert die Strukturen und Entwicklungen in der Gesundheitswirtschaft in Sachsen. Insgesamt arbeiten in Sachsen 15 % der sozialversicherungspflichtig Beschäftigten in der Gesundheitswirtschaft. Durch stetigen Personalaufbau und zunehmende Bruttowertschöpfung in den vergangenen Jahren ist die Branche als wachsender Wirtschaftfaktor in Sachsen anzusehen. Zudem sind die Beschäftigten in den Gesundheitsberufen von Arbeitslosigkeit weniger betroffen als andere. Für die nächsten Jahre wird, vor allem aufgrund des Anstieges der älteren Einwohner Sachsens (65 Jahre und älter +12,5 % bis 2025), weiterhin mit einem Beschäftigungswachstum in der Gesundheitswirtschaft gerechnet. Ein weiterer Personalaufbau in der Gesundheitswirtschaft könnte aber in naher Zukunft durch eine zu geringe Zahl an geeigneten Fachkräften gebremst werden." (Autorenreferat, IAB-Doku)
