Abstract

"This IAB Brief Report presents results from a recent qualitative study on the implementation of start-up subsidies of the German unemployment insurance. Among other things it lays out practices of (self-)selection and problems perceived by job advisers. Also, it discusses possible implications of the envisaged reform of the Gründungszuschuss."
