Abstract

Cet article examine le rôle de la localisation dans les relations établies entre le siège et les filiales des firmes multinationales. L'analyse se focalise sur les défis auxquels les firmes multinationales des pays développés doivent faire face, compte tenu de la dispersion géographique de leurs activités. L'étude empirique est fondée sur trois études de cas : France Télécom, Schneider Electric et Publicis. Les résultats montrent comment les relations siège-filiales des firmes multinationales françaises sont influencées par la localisation et notamment par différentes dimensions (culturelle, administrative, géographique et économique) de la distance.
