Abstract

The concept of security cannot be confined to simple passive defence, but also depends on the political, military, environmental, demographic and societal contexts of the present and future. In the context of economic globalisation, international security is a necessity, but its perception is subjective. However, the generalised market economy is not a factor of peace. Several questions can then be asked, concerning the sources and foundations of human insecurity, the usefulness of the use of offensive or defensive weapons to dissuade conflicts and wars between states, the deep economic, political or nationalistic nature of state conflicts in an open economic context and how to improve the security conditions of every individual and every state. It is then interesting to highlight the multiple factors that create economic insecurity.
