Abstract

Fondamentalement distinctes par les marchés visés et par leur trajectoire de développement, les industries aéronautique et automobile peuvent toutefois faire l'objet d'un rapprochement si l'on considère l'action structurante qu'elles possèdent sur le tissu industriel européen via leurs commandes. Or, leurs réseaux d'approvisionnement sont en proie depuis plusieurs années à d'intenses recompositions. Les frontières des firmes et les processus de coordination entre donneurs et preneurs d'ordres (fournisseurs, sous-traitants et équipementiers) se redéfinissent conduisant à une restructuration globale des chaînes de valeur (Brocard, Donada, 2003 ; Frigant, Talbot, 2003). Mais qu'en est-il de la géographie des relations inter-entreprises ? Au-delà des diversités sectorielles, l'objet de ce chapitre est de souligner les points de convergence entre ces deux industries concernant la géographie de leurs relations verticales.
