¿Qué haríamos si hubiese que reinventar las pensiones?

Abstract

En este articulo, no se analizan cuales son las reformas necesarias de los sistemas de pensiones en marcha, sino que va un paso atrás, al momento cero, y trata de reflexionar como debería ser el sistema de pensiones si pudiéramos diseñarlo desde el principio sin ningún tipo de pasivo. Para ello, en la primera parte se analizan que tipos de sistemas de pensiones hay en el mundo. Los sistemas de pensiones se pueden clasificar de diferentes formas, en función de los distintos parámetros que los caracterizan: según cuál sea su forma de financiación, según cuál sea la fórmula para calcular la pensión o según su nivel de redistribución de la renta. La segunda parte se dedica a reflexionar cual seria el sistema de pensiones óptimo si pudiéramos reinventar los sistemas actuales. Veremos como un modelo de pensiones óptimo seria aquel que fuera capaz de ligar las pensiones a la educación.
