Lohn- und Beschäftigungseffekte der Zuwanderung nach Deutschland

Abstract

Der Effekt von Zuwanderung auf den Arbeitsmarkterfolg von Einheimischen spielt in der öffentlichen Debatte zur Einwanderung eine wichtige Rolle. Rechtsgerichtete Parteien versuchen ihre Anti-Immigrationspolitik mit der Behauptung zu untermauern, dass Einwanderer eine Bedrohung für einheimische Arbeitnehmer darstellen. Zuletzt stellte eine Abgeordnete des Front National die EU-Einwanderungspolitik in Frage, indem sie Studien zum Thema lückenhaft auslegte. Die Forschung im Bereich der Migrationsökonomie ist komplex und vielschichtig. Gerade wenn Forschungsergebnisse in der politischen Diskussion argumentativ genutzt wird ist es wichtig, dass die Kernaussagen, Ableitungen und Problematiken existierender Studien richtig verstanden werden. Der folgende Text stellt den aktuellen Forschungsstand im deutschen Kontext dar.
