Estimating Implicit Marginal Prices of Tomatoes Using A Flexible Functional Form

Abstract

An important aspect in the fresh tomato market is the array of quality characteristics that affect value. This paper estimates Implicit prices for quality factors at three times during the marketing season using a flexible functional form. Those quality characteristics of highest that most affect the price of tomatoes, can then be evaluated.
