Ökonomische Wirkung von Interventionen der Europäischen Struktur- und Investitionsfonds in Österreich seit 1995

Abstract

Eine Forschungsarbeit des WIFO analysierte erstmals fondsübergreifend die Wirkung der europäischen Struktur- und Investitionsförderung auf die Regionalwirtschaft in Österreich seit 1995. Auf Grundlage einer neu geschaffenen Datenbasis zu EU-Förderungen und nationaler Kofinanzierung, die Individualdatenbestände von verantwortlichen bzw. abwickelnden Stellen zusammenführt, wurden die regionale Verteilung der Mittel und deren Wirkung auf die Wirtschaft der Bundesländer sowie kleinerer Einheiten (Arbeitsmarktbezirke, Gemeinden) untersucht. Die Ergebnisse sprechen dafür, dass die ESIF-Initiativen in Österreich zum Abbau regionaler Disparitäten beitrugen.
