Produktion und Produktivität. Kaldor-Verdoorn-Effekte in der Sachgütererzeugung in Österreich und der EU

Abstract

Wie die empirische Analyse von Kaldor-Verdoorn-Effekten in Österreich und der EU mit zeitreihenökonometrischen Methoden zeigt, bedingt ein Anstieg der Sachgütererzeugung um 1% eine Steigerung der Arbeitsproduktivität um bis zu ½%. Impuls-Antwort-Funktionen belegen endogene Verstärkungsmechanismen über eine Zunahme der Kapitalakkumulation und den dadurch induzierten technischen Fortschritt. Eine länger anhaltende Schwächephase der Industrieproduktion hat demnach einen direkten negativen Einfluss auf das Produktivitätswachstum, den langfristigen Wohlstand und die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit.
